The North Texas Accountable Healthcare Partnership (NTAHP) and Greater Houston Healthconnect (HEALTHCONNECT) have completed the initial steps to connect and begin exchanging Direct secure messages, which is landmark for Health IT in state of Texas. Not only are both NTAHP and Healthconnect state-designated HIE entities; they are also the largest HIEs in Texas. Connecting these HIEs will extend service for over half the state’s population.
